BHPH Software Pricing: What Buy Here Pay Here Dealers Actually Pay in 2026
Shopping for buy here pay here software is harder than it should be. Half the vendors hide their prices behind a sales call, and the other half advertise a low monthly number that grows the moment you say the words "buy here pay here", because collections are sold as an extra module.
So we checked the official pricing pages ourselves in October 2026 and wrote down what a BHPH dealer really pays. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so. No invented numbers.
The prices, verified October 2026
- DealerCenter: $149/month real cost for BHPH. The advertised price is $99/month, but the Buy Here Pay Here module costs $50/month extra. A BHPH dealer pays $149/month.
- Frazer: $129/month for the desktop version ($1,299/year), BHPH functions included, no setup fee. The hosted version starts at $199/month.
- DealerVLO: $29/month flat, BHPH included, no setup fee. The cheapest published price we found.
- AutoManager (DeskManager): price unclear. Their own site does not show a clear price. Directories list around $50/month and a third-party reading of their pricing page says from $88/month. BHPH appears included in DeskManager Online. Ask them for the number in writing.
- Wayne Reaves: quote only. The DMS price is not published (directories estimate around $98/month, unverified). You have to call.
- DealersCloud: quote only. Pricing is custom, and BHPH is quoted separately on request.
- DealerClick: quote only, and not cheap. Their own FAQ says most dealers pay between $500 and $1,500 per month. Their pages also contradict themselves on whether BHPH is a paid module or included.
Why the advertised price is rarely the real price
Three traps show up again and again:
- The BHPH module fee. The base system handles sales, and the moment you need collections, payment schedules and late fees, it becomes an add-on. DealerCenter's $50/month extra is the clearest example: the real BHPH price is 50% higher than the headline.
- Per-user pricing. Some systems charge per employee login. A small lot with an owner, a salesperson and a collector can end up paying the "cheap" price three times.
- Quote-only pricing. If a vendor will not publish a number, the number usually depends on how much they think you can pay. That is why the call-for-pricing group above includes the most expensive option we found ($500 to $1,500/month).
Where J5Drive fits
J5Drive costs $100/month flat (or $1,000/year), with the BHPH tools included from day one: contracts, payment schedules, balances, receipts, and automatic WhatsApp reminders when a payment is overdue and a WhatsApp receipt when a customer pays. No BHPH module fee, because the system was built for BHPH dealers first. The trial is free for 30 days and does not require a credit card.
That puts J5Drive below DealerCenter's real BHPH cost ($149) and below Frazer ($129), above only DealerVLO ($29) and AutoManager's unclear range. Several larger vendors do not publish a comparable price at all.
How to choose without overpaying
- Ask every vendor one question in writing: "What is my total monthly cost, with buy here pay here collections, for my whole team?" Compare those answers, not the headlines.
- Check whether late-payment tools are included or an add-on. Collections is where a BHPH dealer lives; paying extra for it adds up fast.
- Run the free trial with your real inventory and two or three real contracts before paying anything.
- Prefer a published price. A vendor confident enough to show the number is a vendor you can budget around.
Questions dealers ask
What does BHPH software cost per month in 2026?
Published prices run from $29/month (DealerVLO) to $149/month (DealerCenter with its BHPH module). Frazer is $129/month and J5Drive is $100/month flat. Several vendors, including Wayne Reaves, DealersCloud and DealerClick, do not publish prices; DealerClick says most of its dealers pay $500 to $1,500/month.
Why is buy here pay here software more expensive than regular dealer software?
Because many vendors sell BHPH collections as a separate module on top of the base dealer system. Systems built for BHPH from the start, like J5Drive and DealerVLO, include it in the flat price.
Is the cheapest option the best deal?
Not always. Compare what is included (collections, receipts, team access), whether the price is per user, and whether you can try it free with your real data before deciding.
Prices checked on official vendor pages in October 2026 and subject to change. If a vendor has updated its pricing, the vendor's page is the source of truth.
